18th African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition Kicks Off
The 18th African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition kicks off today (12 February 2020) under the theme “Specialty Coffee Markets: The Next Frontier” in Mombasa, Kenya.
Organized by the African Fine Coffees Association (AFCA), the conference and exhibition has created an unprecedented opportunity for coffee-growing African countries like Ethiopia and Kenya as well as other non-African countries in Asia and Latin America to come together further expedite opportunities in the international coffee trade.
More than 60 company representatives from Ethiopia are participating in the Conference and Exhibition. The event is expected to provide numerous Ethiopian companies engaged in coffee trade the opportunity to connect with buyers and their agents from Europe and United States of America.
At the Conference and Exhibition, the Ethiopian delegation is headed by the Director of Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, Dr. Adugna Debela. The Ethiopian Embassy in Kenya together with the Sheba Lounge (a restaurant joint owned by an Ethiopian-origin businessman) in Mombasa are also gracing the Ethiopian booth at the venue with Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony.
The event will be held 12-14 February 2020 at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa in the Kenyan Port City of Mombasa.
